Anything written by Nigel Slater is a must – his way with words is exquisite – just like the food.
Yotam – my friend and perhaps the man who has most influenced a generation of palates with his combinations of flavor in his recipes – Plenty More please.
Another dear friend – so proud when friends do well – Lisa’s book is beautiful and enlightening – and I credit her with inspiring me to add luxury into my life where ever I can – thanks to Vita Sackville-West and the Edwardians for the Breakfast trays prepared.

In February for Mother Forkers we cooked from Coleman Andrew’s book – this definitely isn’t your every day Italian cookbook – for that I would stick to books by Nancy Silverton, Marc Vetri, Mario Batali (who incidently wrote to the foreword to the book above and below) or Lidia Bastianich.
This is one of my favorite Italian cookbooks – 70 pages on risotto alone?
Okay so not so much a cookbook as a book about vino by my friend Joe.
I love Indian food – and this book has the most amazing recipes to make at home. The list of ingredients is quite long in many cases but it is so worth it:
