Want to Come Fishing?
Rock Star Chefs
A who’s who of LA chefs is joining me, Lucy Lean, for fishing fun, lots of eating and a celebration of the book out on the high seas. This trip celebrates the chefs and the food of MADE IN AMERICA: Michael Cimarusti and Donato Poto (Providence), Josiah Citrin (Mélisse), Brendan Collins (Waterloo and City), Andrea Cavaliere (Cecconi’s), Alain Giraud (Maison Giraud), Waylynn Lucas (formerly of The Bazaar, now fonuts), Brian Moyers (BLT Steak) John-Carlos Kuramoto (Michael’s Restaurant), Dave Danhi (The Grilled Cheese Truck), Mariah Swan (Grace and BLD) and flying in from Las Vegas pastry chef Douglas Taylor (B&B).
Gourmet American Food and Drinks
The chefs will all bring tastes of MADE IN AMERICA – be it from their own recipe in the book or a classic American dish they want to share: Kobe Beef Truffle Sliders from Cecconi’s, Chocolate Chip Cookies from Providence, Grilled Cheese, Doughnuts, Pizza, Cobb Salad, Mushroom Soup, Mac n Cheese – the menu is going to be out of this world and all made in America. Rick Moonen Lobster Rolls, David Levevre MB Post Heirloom Tomato Salad with Lemon Ricotta, LA Mill iced coffee and Dark and Stormy cocktails were highlights of previous trips – the chefs don’t disappoint when it comes to the delicacies they bring aboard for all to enjoy. Matt Biancaniello from the Library Bar at the Roosevelt Hotel will be coming aboard to mix us all some farmers’ market inspired cocktails – last time he brought most of the market with him and set up a bar, I’m still dreaming about the passion fruit prosecco concoction that went straight to my head. Cheers Matt for braving the high seas once more.

The Book
With 100 great chefs from around the country MADE IN AMERICA brings the sophistication of these giants into the home without the usual level of difficulty associated with restaurant recipes. Each recipe is accompanied by full color photography by me, as well as an introduction to the chef, their restaurant and the history of classic American food.
