Lockdown Color Chart miniature painting – Prints
Limited edition prints for sale.
Back in January 2021 during lockdown I started to paint miniature flower paintings on the Farrow and Ball color chart – each paint swatch was a new painting. I limited myself to painting flowers in the garden and currently in bloom.
Starting with primroses and snowdrops I worked through spring with daffodils and magnolias, roses and tulips. Several lockdowns later, in the summer, I completed the entire paint chart – all 132 paintings just as the sunflowers were blooming.
I worked with Steve Russel printers to create a limited edition set of 50 signed prints from the original color chart of acrylic miniature paintings – each one printed on Hahnemühle Smooth Photo Rag Bright White 100% Cotton Rag, pH neutral, Acid-free art paper. 12-colour LUCIA PRO Ink which is colourfast for 80+ years.
Today I wrapped the first few to go out.
