Tomorrow, Sunday 9th October I will be at Chevalier’s Bookstore (126 Larchmont Blvd, LA CA) from 11am for my first book signing of MADE IN AMERICA – I hope you can find time to pop by to say hello.
There is some confusion about the time – at first I was told 11 til 1, and then 12 til 2 (which is what the poster above says and what the shop had originally advertised) – so to avoid any disappointment I will be at the store from 11 – this is probably better to catch all those market shoppers anyway… can’t wait to see you whenever you can get there.
I will be bringing some of the chocolate-Oatmeal Walnut cookies to share using the recipe from Elisabeth Prueitt of Tartine in San Francisco California, in MADE IN AMERICA (page 288).
Did you know that chocolate chip cookies were invented in 1937 by Ruth Graves Wakefield of Toll House Inn, Massachusetts using a recipe for Butter Drop Do cookies from America’s first ever cookbook American Cookery by Amelia Simmons?
Your signing is going to be the best!! Wish I could be there!
I am going to try and swing by your book signing! Congrats. Those cookies look fab!
I think I may come today instead of Thursday. I love Larchment and love a hug and a kiss from you! xx
